I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but can someone point me to a step by step picture related topic that shows safe removal of the ecu for a reflash please.

Pay attention to the last two posts as well, helpful tips that simplified removal and reinstall. I just did this a couple days ago and it was very easy.

Probably a bit far for you to ride, but I am hoping to get a UK Flash day setup for a ride-in / ride-out service at CJS Racing, but they are near Bristol.
They can also do flash by post, or a full custom setup on a dyno if you want it spot on, this is handy if you want to change exhausts as many flash vendors recommend you add a power commander to do this so it becomes very expensive.
