Since I read that the reflash is a great mod I just wonder if there is any at all negatives except the cost and eventual future warranty claims (unlikely)?

Might be my only Christmas wish as present for myself.

I heard that the reflash is supposed to bring down the fuel consumption a bit at steady speed, if I`m riding at a steady pace around 100 km/h ( around 62 miles per hour ) how much less in percentage fuel consumption are we talking about, 5%?

Does the power come in a lot at first as the clutch jump mod?

Anyone that went back to stock setting again (reversed reflash?)

Cheers.

I rarely ride that slowly, but when I have (following beginners) I used to get 56-58mpg, I can now get 60-64mpg, motorway cruising (80+mph) has improved about 2mpg, and solo blasting with my mates / commuting to work about 3-4mpg also.

Making no more comments as everyone has posted results in dedicated results threads, we have taken the trouble to write them, perhaps you can take the trouble to search through them ::008::

Does ECU reflash update any factory mappings? For example, I had TB sync done, but I did not bother with CO adjustments yet. Does reflash take care of those adjustments or would I still need to do CO? Keeping the pipes and filter stock. Thanks.

Mine is out for reflash right now. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is this. Since you tell them what mods you've made when you order, they install the flash most appropriate to your bike. Since your bike is stock, like mine was, they would use the flash for a stock bike, no CO adjustments necessary after that. The only thing I plan to do is recheck my TB sync after I put my ECU back in. I have the tool, and it only takes 10 minutes or so. Post flash, I have no plans to mess with CO adjustments, 270 degree out TB screw tweaks, or anything that may mess with the ECU Unleashed mapping.

Cool.
It seems like the reflash could be paid off in x amount of years just in lower fuel consumption and the rest is just great.

The reason for 100 km/h comparison is that here in Australia normal speed regulation is just that speed or sometimes just above, speeding fines are just too expensive here. Find this bike extremely relaxing compared to my other bikes and what I have ridden in the past so going faster on this beast does not do it for me.

Curious if you ever have an insurance claim or warranty claim and they find out that it has a modified ECU if the claim would be still valid, on the web site I`m looking at it says: Warranty might be void and for off road use only..... but I think it says that on many aftermarket mufflers and other tuning parts, my B-King is loaded with that stuff but I told my insurance company about all the tuning parts and it seems they are cool about it as long as they know but it can differ from insurance company, maybe it is easier in other countries?

Thanks for taking the time to give information which you can never have too much of. I spend countless of hours on this great forum which helped a lot and it does come back when others need help one day.
