Hi al

I've done a search in the forums and while there is certainty posts about this company, I am still a little confused about what exactly I need.

I just purchased a 2017 Super Tenere ES and I am looking to install a new fuse panel that uses the accessory plug that is on the right side of the bike. So far so good. What I am confused about is what parts I need. There is mention of ES version not having enough space beside the battery to install the fuse box, and get the version with longer cable to install under the seat. On the website it also talks about “battery Connect Version” as well as “Powerlink Connect Version” (Battery Leads sold Separately). Reading the form’s it seems lie the Powerlink is the choice, but I can’t see why. I’ve also watched an older YouTube video where the connector did not fit to the accessory plug, and trying to avoid that as well.

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.

That plug is very low amps. I believe it is 3 max... and you are going to run a fuse boxes off of It? I can look tomorrow to be sure but I am 98% right now.

Based on what I am reading from the website as well as others here, it only uses the accessory plug to trip a relay which then powers the fuse panel from a direct battery conenction. They just seem to have a couple versions of it so was hoping someone had a little information on what the difference is.

Order the pc 8 for the super Tenere Eastern Beaver.

It’s plug and play. 1hour job. The three prong accessory light plug has a cap. It’s low on the bike. The hardest part is finding a place to mount and those push pin holders are not fun.

Are you sure about what you read? I thought the problem with the ES version was that there was an extra component under the seat for the electronic suspension that took up up enough space that there wasn't room for a PC-8 in the underseat tray.

Thanks for the tip EnnK! I was able to fit the EB PC8 above the tools in the same area and still fit the tools (pencil pointing to the PC8 in the first pic). +1 on the Eastern Beaver gear for quality and peace of mind. I got the Powerlink Connect version and an additional 36” Powerlink jumper for a stout jump starting option.
