Spent the weekend doing electrical work on the new S10. I've used Eastern Beaver's PC8 before so I ordered up another one for this installation. I wanted to do all my electrical work at one time. Thus I took the time to list everything I had on hand to install and things I may add at a later date. My list included;

OEM Heated Grips
VisionX Optimus LED driving lights
Heated Seat inserts
Heated gear Powerlet
GPS/accessories Powerlet
SAE connection for trickle charger and plug in for tank bag
Skene IQ-175 A lighting controller
Autoswitch AS7G garage door operator
Clearwater Lights Voltage sentry

What was yamaha thinking putting the grip controller on top of the bars? I've seen pix of others installing it under the instrument cluster but I decided on another location. Easy to mount, incorporated the OEM rubber dampener and still easy to use while riding. Pix also shows his/hers Powerlet outlets for heated gear.

Heated seat insert is something I made myself. I made two circuits for low and high heat. Then used a on/off/on single throw dual switch. I mounted the switch near left wing deflector. Also shown is an 'extra' powerlet outlet.

I purchased a top handle bar plate from highwaydirtbiker.com Had them install a powerlet hole on right side and a toggle switch hole on left side of SX plate. Also had two LED holes drilled. One hole is for the Clearwater Voltage sentry and the other is for the AS7G garage controller. The toggle switch is set up as follows. In the off position it allows the Skene controller to set my VisionX LED lights to 20%. If I toggle it up it increases the light output to 50%. (Switching on High Beams sends the LED output to 100%). When I toggle down it sends 12Vdc to the AS7 and triggers my garage door remote. Sorry no pix of that as I have the plate out at powdercoaters to match factory finish.

Here's a pix of wiring on right side. Its a LOT of additional wiring, however, everything is molex and/or waterproof connectors, shrink tubed, wrapped and protected. Each circuit is independent and easy to trace/trouble shoot if needed. Still plenty of room for spare tool section (no wires) and with the LiFePo Alien Motion battery I have additional storage in the battery box. The PC8 I connected with two separate power inputs allowing me to separate the ignition on and constant on circuits. I have the SAE outlet by handle bar (used for powering tank bag/trickle charger) and GPS powerlet outlet on same handle bar clamp on constant. Everything else is ignition on. The OEM is obviously wired to OEM plug and I obtained the OEM male plug for the VisionX lights circuit.
