I live in Raleigh, NC area full time, but have a place up near Asheville. Actually ordered my S10 from a dealer in Asheville, so will be doing lots of riding up that way!

Nope, we were in Johnson City for STAR and spent most of our time northwest and east of JC. Mostly VA and TN. Didn't get over to the BRP this time.

Does Columbus, Ohio count as close? as Moby stated, we were in Johnson City recently and had a great time riding the roads in the area. I bet there are a bunch of roads the Super Tenere would be the bike to have.

East TN/W. NC is some of the best riding there is! I'm from FL, but get there as often as possible. I'll be in Marion on the 15th of Sept. On my new bike, hopefully.

I'm almost as Eastern NC as I can be without getting wet, but spend lots of time in the western part of the state. When my Tenere arrives I'll head west even more as I will be able to SMOKE I40 far better than on my KLR. 8)

Perhaps we should plan a Smokie Mtn ST gathering for September?

We should all have our bikes by then...great excuse to get away and sample some of the best riding in the US....
