I have traweled this forum and the Internet to research if anyone has installed the Dynajet Autotune O2 sensor into a stock Super Tenere 1200z exhaust header. I have seen it incorporated into the Arrow headers but not stock systems. Please point me in the right direction on this forum or Internet or advise on where it has been successfully located and how the modification was carried out. I have an Autotune system on order and wanted the info prior to it arriving.
Thanks
Steve

Install the bung before the cat. I like to do it right after the jpint. I've done a few.

Hi Tabasco
Do you have any photos of one that you have done just to detail the angle and position you install the sensor at.
Even better do you have a template to ensure it is done correct. The last thing I want to do is destroy my headers.
Did you braze or weld the bung into situ?
Thanks

I do a lot of tuning with a wide band A/F meter thus I install a lot of bungs. Mark location with a perm marker. Ideally 12-15 from exhaust flange but always before cat if one is present. I center punch the location and drill using a Uni bit. Once welded you MUST address the threads in the bung with a tap. I source most of my regular bungs from o2bungs.com and Ti bungs from Ticon industries.

No, not for the stock headers.. I just got out in the shop and installed it... I do have pictures with the use of Arrow headers... I made a jig to use with the arrow headers but not for the stock ones.. Just see where it might work and go for it.... I suggest you DONT use the stock mild steel bung, it will rust.... go buy a stainless one....

I just hold it where I want it and mark with perm marker. Otherwise swing it by your local welder and let him mark it. It a pretty basic task....

Not trying to be condescending. I have buddy's who simply shouldn't pick up a tool much less try to use it lol.

Well, received my AT 200 Autotune kit today and with a mate who produces welding procedures for our compan, determined there is no way to situate the supplied O2 sensor in a standard S10 exhaust if it needs to be located before the cat converter. Guess I will have to purchase Arrow Headers which I cannot afford at this time. Bummer.
