Hello all,

New S10 owner (2017 ES)
Just picked it up the 2nd week of March from NC!
Only ridden the S10 a couple hundred miles but bought it with 40k miles. I rented a 2013 in Cali last year and was impressed. For being a big girl she can sure move!

Looking forward to long trips across many states and lots of dirt roads, twisty mountain roads and camping where ever I find a nook.

Anyways, nice to meet y'all. If you ever wanna moto camp and are around NKY, OH, IN area. Hit me up!

Welcome, from Texas. I too have a '17ES. It's the best blue, Cobalt.

I had a 2015 FJ-09 and it was a hoot to ride. That was between '15 and '18 (when it was stolen).
Been trying to get my adventures and speed needs met from the KTM 350 EXC-F
In the background but just doesn't cut it when I wanna go on a ride longer than an hour.
Great machine for off-road, one of the best. Even for the kart/road race tracks cutting laps...but round town and tour style moto-camping. Just doesn't fit the bill for me.

The S10 is a gem. Rides easy, enough power to gimmie enough of a rush at 34 years old.

First bike was a '93 FZR 600 in white red and blue.
Second was '04 R1. Bike that taught me the hard way I am not a pro rider/racer and humbled me quickly.
Third a '05 WR 450.(Sumo and dirt set ups) Bikes a beast but way heavy for my first dirt bike.
Fourth was a '06 YZF600R. Cool bike but did nothing well. Too much sport riding position, not enough power or tour for me.

Fifth bike was the '15 FJ-09, then bought the KTM when I got back home from Cali in 2018. Had it as my only bike since 2018 and finally pulled the trigger on a machine I can do all the things the hooligan sumo can't comfortably!

I also have an '86 FJ that I bought new (older than you are:D) My youngest son has an FJR and my oldest has an R6. (we make him ride behind us with his Two Brothers exhaust) What brand are those crash bars? They look similar to my Mastechs but have that riser that mine doesn't.

I was born and raised in the tri-state area, Hamiltuckian we would say.

I know of one very active Tenere rider near you in Lebanon.

Really?! I am pretty familiar with Hamiltucky, I grew up in Colerain near Ross my previous GF mom lives there(still pursuing the girl a little but most importantly God first.)
Well if he's open to a riding buddy(or several) I'm maybe 10 mins from Lebanon?

There's 3 of us ranging from 30-40 years old with Adventure bikes spanning from white oak to Middletown! And probably more I haven't met yet!

So I grew up only 10 mins from where you did as I lived on the edge of town on 128 heading to Ross. The subdivision directly across 128 from me even went to Ross schools. I typically drove Colerain Blvd to Cinncinnati as at that time Hamilton wasn't connected to any freeways. Or late night buzzed burger run to the closest White Castle on Colerain.

Trivia: Hamilton for many decades was the largest US city without any direct freeway connection. When built in the 1950's I-75 bypassed Hamilton as the city didn't want the traffic going through town.
