+1. I've been messing around with a KTM Supermoto to replace the stocker. Only done a mock up bit it looked good.stevepsd said:Next will be strap-on cylinder heads to complete the BMW look > > Why?
Now having the front fender a bit higher (a couple of inches or so) would be beneficial in muddy/clay terrain.
I couldn't find the vomiting smiley face :Twitch said:
Hate it.
Well, it seems someone likes the beaks for them to be made after a "large number of requests". ???Due to a large number of requests we now offer a 'duck-beak' for the XT-1200Z Super Tenere. Precisely handmade of fibre flex material, this beak will improve the look of your XT1200!
Color: white, unpainted or painted ; Material: GfK
Including instructions and mounting parts.
This makes total sense, but since I have no intention of ever getting into that riding situation, I'll pass on the beak!markjenn said:I like it. Not enough to buy one.
Beaks are semi-functional - with the beak providing some protection, you can ease up on the size of the lower fender (or possibly eliminate it all-together) and/or move it away from the front tire to provide more tolerance for mud packing. Those who think this is a non-issue have never been in serious sticky mud conditions on a low-fendered bike - it renders the bike essentially unrideable within the space of a few hundred feet. Fortunately, the S10's front fender is very easy to remove.
