Just breaking in my 2015 ST and trying to find some dirt/fire roads to practice offroading on. I'll be waiting a few weeks until I have my Rumbux set on and hit 1000 miles but would appreciate any tips people had on some good off reading opportunities for the ST. Thanks in advance!

Its been about 20 years since I lived there but I remember a fire road that I picked up at the top of Reseda Blvd (south/west) that would take you to Topanga Canyon. Very mild road that took you by an old Nike Radar Tower…

I used to see a bunch of dirt roads off of Mulholland West….

Anything like this? I have not ridden in this area at all. Just like messing with maps.

Had to use Bicycle mode to get over the mountain.

AWESOME! Exactly! I didn't think to google it.. I need to join the new 21st Century.

I see the bicycle symbol.. I wonder if its closed to motorized vehicles now...

Awesome. Thanks. I'll check that out. Go hiking there all the time but never realized that it might be open to motorcycles.

I know of a few in the San Bernardino area, I live closer to Pasadena if you're looking for someone to ride with.
A riding buddy would be great. I'm still learning on the ST and have 0 off road experience, but eager to change that. Should have crash bars and a skid plate installed by mid april once I get my Rumbux set in. I'll send you a PM with my contact info and we can find a time to go ride together if you're willing to tolerate an S10 newb. ::015::

I was going to suggest Wilshire Blvd through the Miracle Mile! The last time I was on that road, I was thinking about how I've been on dirt roads that are smoother.

You might want to look into Rawhyde. They offer big dirty bike training, and while I haven't taken their class, I find that organized training helps a great deal when learning or practicing a skill set.
