OK, so I did find some references to oil leaks/weeps and even one thread where the user had weeping from the exact same spot, but there was no definitive answer. I noticed this today at a mid-ride break. The roads were dry, so it wasn't from road moisture. I last rode the bike back in late December, and this was definitely an oily/greasy residue mixed with the dirt/moisture from that ride. There is also weeping where the pumpkin meets the drive shaft cover on the bottom side. It did not seem like there was any more weeping after my ~150 mile ride today. The bike is still under warranty with ~4500 miles. Thanks!

Yeah nothing to really worry about...that's probably just thinned out assembly grease that seeped from when the FD got nice and warm.

Keep an eye out though - just make sure that slight seep doesn't turn into a intermittent drip. Been noted a time or two around here (don't know what mileage they were at), just something to keep any eye out for :)

if you folks are worried about the rear drive, put some dye in it and check it with a black light.
