My pal has one and highly recommends it to anyone. Like the shape of it much better than the Hero Go Pro. Seems to take great footage and I believe he has a remote On/Off switch mounted on the bars. ::001::

I have a Drift 170(non HD), which I have been using for years now and despite it's limitations,it serves my purposes well. May I suggest a little tip for anyone thinking of getting themselves a Drift helmet camera? Go to the Drift Innovations website, or even flea-Bay and get yourself a spare universal mounting clip (see photo). These little sods have a habit of breaking the side tangs that lock the camera into the various mounts provided. They also have a particularly nasty habit of snapping off just before going out for the sort of ride you really want to record too.

Had several GoPros from their first inception to their latest....and have destroyed them all.

I will be going with the replayXD next. Much smaller and all aluminum.

For the last year I've been using the Drift HD170. It can do 1080, but I only run it in 720 to keep file sizes reasonable. Extremely happy with the camera. My last POV camera was horrible to start and stop. The Drift is a dream with the remote mounted to the stem of the mirror. I agree with getting extra mounts. I've never broken one, but I did lose one while changing from a helmet to a Ram mount.

This video gives a pretty good indication of how versitile the Drift can be. It was all shot with Drift in 720 mode. It was also shot on the day I lost that little clip. ::010::
