We got out for a little ride over to Door county, Wisconsin.
It ended up being 4 days and 1,625 miles and a lot to see.
If your not from the Midwest area, Door county is a peninsula that sticks out into Lake Michigan in upper east Wisconsin.

On the way over we rode some of the Mississippi river road and all off the beaten path back roads.

We climbed the tower at Fond du Lac over looking Lake Oshkosh.

Door county has no chain stores or chain restaurants or department stores, or hotel chains. All individually owed Ma and Pa stuff.
With all the nice restaurants and fine food available this is where Michelle preferred to dine out.

My kind of gal!

This is from our camp on Lake Michigan.

Good roads are always high on our list.

The lake is really fun to ride near, It's kind of like the ocean without the salt.

On the way home we rode over to the Nicolet National Forest to ride some forest roads.
I was impressed with the Forest and Michelle even wants to go back with her ATV some day.
It looked like there was hundreds of miles of ATV trails.

On the way home we rode a lot more of the Great Mississippi River Road.
If you have never ridden this road down both sides of the river, it is very fun!

Then we stopped at Maquoketa Caves to hike around.

And then back home waiting for another ride.
Thanks for reading.
May God Bless You.

Nice. I was up there this last Sunday visiting my parents at their new endeavor, a coffee shop and store in the top of the hill shops in Fish Creek. Looks like you hit all the really good spots on your trip.

Looks like they sent a drunk off through the woods with the marker paint; "Ok men, pave that line".
