I've found a surprising benefit of being a Tenere owner. The ladies love the bike! Just about everywhere I go I get compliments on the bike from younger women. I've even given a few random 20 something year old girls rides on old Babe. It's obvious that its the bike they like, because I havn't come away with any phone numbers yet. Oh well, lol I still like the attention! ;D

Ya think? A little scary actually cuz I'm not sure I would even know what to do with a 20 something year old any more!!! ;)

But, on my ride on Monday up into the mountains, I did get a nice wave from a gal jogging along the road.............. Could it be?

;D

I have been literally accosted by a herd of 80 year old bar maids. It's disgusting. I just feel like a slab of meat. These women don't care about the real me .. what I think .. what I feel. I'm just sick of it. R

You poor old guys...

What you're seeing is the intelligence of youth.

Those 20 somethings realize that:
1 - You're old - you've already reached your max earning potential and since you have a bike, you didn't squander it on the 20 somethings back in your 30's-40's - so, you're a good investment
2 - You're old - the level of dementia you're experiencing will allow them to tell you things you 'think' you did but in fact ' you didn't'.
3 - You're old, you don't have much time left so you're not only a good investment, you're a short term one - Daddy.

P.S. - I'm right behind ya

I think Touratech makes one - but it's $1500 or you can get the SW-MOTECH one but the left side is taller than the right side... LOL (apologies to the vendors, I just couldn't help myself)

The first week I had the bike a young chick in her late 40s gave me the thumbs up, I did have my full face helmet on though.

Way back when my wife was 40, I said something about trading up for two 20's. She said I wasn't wired for 220.

Let's see what she has to say about two 33"s. I'll let you know ...... if I can. R

Well, women are people with individual tastes, not some monolith. But there's at least one of them that likes this bike a whole lot.
