Hi robson. Trying to be controversial again, it seems. Does YOUR mammy know that you are not yet potty trained. Spend more time on your scooter (3 wheeler) and less time on your dad's computer. ::025::

I take your point, robson. And I have often wondered similar things …. to myself. I think your comments will only serve to flame the rhetoric. As I've mentioned before, the best way to deal with less than lucid comments is by simply ignoring them.

I'm gonna let this thread stand, and let's see if we're all mature enough to let it die a sudden death all on its own. Let the process work. If you build it, they will come. If you ignore it, they will go away. I just made that up, but you can use it if you want to …. ::025:: ::025:: ::012::

Let's be careful out there. R ::020::

Rem is absolutely correct. Be constructive, this site is about sharing information and for having friendly conversation. If you want to start a war, go to the Debate Room board.

To have a rational conversation the person starting said conversation has to be at least out of diapers, from the posts I have seen of yours you have a few years to go yet.

Robson -

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and ask you to re-introduce yourself, because you really have come across as a troll so far.

Who are you? What kind of experience do you have? What are you really looking for in a bike? Why?

The group here started when Yamaha was still planning to bring the model to North America, so we bonded with a lot of forward expectations. It also cut out the impulse buyers and a lot of the less mature owners who were out for flash. Then we as a group got caught by the Fukushima earthquake and meltdown of the Daichi nuke plant which was very close to the source for the bike's original electronics vendor, further postponing getting the bikes. When the first couple of shipments finally arrived, we bonded like a bunch of kids sharing a truckload of new model trains.

This was only 3 years ago, so a lot of the original group is still here. We have round the worlders already or in progress, at least one owner with well more than 100,000 miles, and several I know of approaching that mileage in roughly 3 years. We have several Yamaha employee/owners on board. It amazes me how many owners came from the very long-standing Vstrom and FJR owners groups. Through one of those groups, I personally have "known" electronically or in person some of these guys for nearly 10 years, done ride to eats, and camp-outs. I think that's one reason this group is a LOT closer-knit, less inflammatory, and better bonded than a lot of forums.

With that background about much of this group having a long history together, you came in with a number of posts about your opinion and offering criticism. Your writing suggests English is not your original language, so you may have an entirely different riding history than many here. Even so and while I was the first to call you a troll, I'll also be the first to see if you want to try again or fade away.

Your choice / your move.

Folks, I have a saying I use a lot for many things... "Don't fee that animal" or in this case don't reply or answer his posts. He will eventually change his attitude, go away, or step over a boundary a get banned. Do all of us a favor and Don't Feed That Animal.

??? Robson,
"rational conversation" really? ::005::
I thought you may have figured out by now this is a Yamaha Super Tenere forum. we are Tenere Riders we like, love or whatever Yamaha Teneres.
Your post all 12 of them seem to lean towards not caring much for this bike it's brakes and so on.

Yes and I am over 50 I don't wear diapers not even depends. My Mommy died last year she was my best friend and helped me buy my first MX.
I have been riding for 25+ of them years had many bikes, at this time I like this bike.
I have fun using this bike for just about everything. Yes it's heavy it has it's limitations and minor issues minor is the key word.

We are willing to talk shop and help each other (even you) finding parts and fixing problems sharing road and camp stories.
We also seem to have the shortest Oil and tire threads than any forum I have been on to date.
I have seen no serious member fallout issues that can't be solved a little snorting and ground scuffing once in awhile.
Oh unless you use yellow highlighted lettering in your post. I never forgot that one.. ;D
In short we just have plane fun and dig our yams and fellow members.
Sorry Bro but I say things how I see it!
So I can only say RIDE one BUY one LIKE it or HATE it join us or just buy a URAL and join the URAL forum and gripe away.
