I noticed its not for sale on their website and I hope you treat my old bike well.
Yea I want more capacity and tougher. I think the Yamaha bags are ok but the locks just plain suck. Plus for $850 out the door Happy Trails is hard to beat. The only problem is now feel like a cheap KLR owner (oh the shame hahahhahahaha...)STIdaho said:Never mind, I see you bought the Happy Trails. Looks good.
I spent 6 months trying to make a pannier decision; big, small, top load, side load, solid welded, corner pieces, looks or practicality and of course cost. Ended up with the 7" HT Cliff Cuts thinking that if they did not work out I was not all that heavily invested. Turns out they are a great product, really great product.XtreemLee said:Yea I want more capacity and tougher. I think the Yamaha bags are ok but the locks just plain suck. I got a 2014 ES is why I traded it in. I just did and oil change/filter and final drive. The spokes were loctited with a special loctite made for mountian bike spokes.SnakeCav said:Yes I bought your bike at Snake River Yamaha friday evening. Nice Bike. Traded off two cruisers collecting dust in garage for it. Would like to know why you sold it and any maintenance done.
SnakeCav said:So is there an aftermarket exhaust on the bike i bought then. I will get a skid plate and crash bars and some kind of throttle lock put on it.
You got a new 2014 exhaust (just the can), 2014 rear rack (in black) and the best part a new un-sat-on 2014 saddle.SnakeCav said:OK thanks.
There was a throttle lock on it???SnakeCav said:So is there an aftermarket exhaust on the bike i bought then. I will get a skid plate and crash bars and some kind of throttle lock put on it.
The Excel throttle lock is highly recommended.SnakeCav said:I will get a skid plate and crash bars and some kind of throttle lock put on it.
This is a “bar end” mechanical device (like a couple others, replaces your RIGHT bar end weight), adjustable on the fly, & EASILY switched from an “engaged” position to “release” (on and off).
Thats what I had on it when I traded in. I should have taken it off and sold it.RockyDS said:The Excel throttle lock is highly recommended.
