Had a quarter sized dent on my tank that was there when I bought the bike (FZ1) probably caused by the handle bars. I was quoted $175 to "try" and pull it out from a local body shop. Found a "Pops-a-Dent"
at the auto store for $19.99 and after 10 or so attempts the dent is 99% gone. If I kept messing with it could be that it'd be good as new. For now I'm happy with the Q-tip sized dent that's there now. Just thought I'd share for you DIY'ers.

DO NOT DO THIS, but I had a golf ball size dent in my new Honda tank. The dealer removed the tank poured the fuel out stepped out the back of the shop and through a match in in the filler hole. Booomff the dent was gone.
I would not have the confiedence to do it but he did and I and it worked.

You might want to try this.. Ive used this before and it does work sometimes... It really depends on the compound curves in the sheet metal... There are many other videos that show and tell more about this 'simple' type of repair...
HEAT GUN AND FUEL... BE CAREFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What did the guy in the video do??
Heated the metal with a heat gun, then cooled it rapidly with the spray, which could be many things, (liquid gas returning to gas is cold). Hot metal, rapidly cooled, caused the metal to contract and return to it's original shape.

I think in the video it was just canned air. Like Computer cleaner air. Turn it upside down and you get a shot of the propellant. Really ice cold at the point of exit.
