Santa was nice enough to have left a Denali Soundbomb horn under the tree today, as well as the Twisted Throttle wiring harness and mount. Looks fairly straightforward, with a few questions for the group:

1-where did you ground the horn itself? There is a short, 8" ground strap which will run from the base of the compressor to a ground point. Are the engine cover bolts (where the mount fits) decent grounding points? Or should I look elsewhere? As mentioned, the ground strap is fairly short and designed for the horn to mount behind the water pump area, so there must be a point in that vicinity.

2-the wiring harness has a relay integrated into it. Just curious where some of you guys may have attached the relay (behind the side cover) so that it is out of the way, but accessible if needed? FYI - I have my Fuzeblock in the area previously filled with the OEM tool kit).

With the wiring harness, I will be wiring directly to the battery.

I can help with 2)...on the Gen 1 bikes (and I'm assuming Gen 2), there is a plastic standoff right next to the battery. It's hollow, so can take a self tapping screw there. It's where I mounted the relay for my EB PC-8, and it works perfectly.

I have completed the installation and thought I'd post a few pics of the mounting location. For those who haven't seen one, the Soundbomb is about the size of your fist. Using the Twisted Throttle bracket, it tucks in and under an SW Motech crashbar. First two pics show a side view. Third pic shows how it is inside of the crash bar (in case of tipover. If you brush against something from below, it could be knocked off). Also note you don't see too many wires coming from the horn. Just two, and they tuck in pretty neatly. I did run the horn wires up and to the original OEM horn and attached them to the OEM horn wiring. Thought being if the Denali should fail, I can simply reiconnect the OEM horn. And as others have said, the Souunbomb is LOUD!

Denali SuperBomb Horn

After 4 incidents where the "cager" has drifted into my lane, and 3 of those time about ran me into the "tooleys"...I'm considering the Denali SoundBomb Horn. The last time time, I had plenty of room and space (defensive driving for sure) to escape, but laid on the horn to no avail ....Thinking I'd like scare the sh*t out of these jack holes who just can't seem to put that friggin phone down. ::010::

I'm looking at the horn, special mount for the Tenere, and the plug and play wiring harness for just south of $100 from Twisted Throttle.

All responses are welcome!

I have the entire kit from Twisted Throttle (horn, harness, mount). As stated in the opening post, I am very pleased with it. Cagers will hear you (although they may not see you). Installation was easy. The horn looks like it may be sticking out a bit from the bike, but I've never had an issue.

If you have Altrider crash bars it doesn't stick out farther than those
