Just picked up a leftover 2012 Tenere and I think this is the one. Looking to do some Iron Butt rides and some offroad exploring. Awesome machine so far. Easy to ride and is easily the sleeper bike of the year. ::012::

Greetings and salutations from just up I-95.

You're gonna love her more as you get a few thousand miles on her and she starts to run in a bit!

Congrats on the new ride, and welcome to the fray...

Welcome and congrats on the new bike. It is a great bike that just keeps getting better as the miles add up.

Just be aware the spokes and fasteners will turn to shit PDQ in Daytona Beach. I rode my bike to Bike Week this March, parked it at a hotel parking lot for 6 nights, washed it twice durning that 6 days and the bolts on the brake calipers turned to shit, rear wheel spokes, banjo bolts on the brakes etc. I am very happy with my ST 10k on it now but I have never had a bike do this like my ST. The two guys I rode down with on Honda's parked next to my bike those 6 nights showed none on this. Don't get me wrong I didn't just park the bike at the hotel I rode it every day and night while down there washed it but the dew off the ocean just did a number in less than a week. There have been others reporting this problem along with me so be fore warned.

Yep. Corrosion on most bikes is an issue here. I don't live on the beach, and things are much worse there, but your post is true.

George - Welcome aboard, you already received some very good input. I just wanted to add that this bike is definitely capable of many miles. One of our fellow S10 riders just hit 100,000k miles on his. Another rider just participated in and successfully finished the Iron Butt Rally with his bike. The Ouray outing in Colorado offered many excellent off road opportunities (which I unfortunately missed). The bike has awesome traction control and ABS. It has managed to get me through a few tough spots off road and it just loves to fly down a gravel road. It is indeed a sleeper bike and it definitely grows on you, especially those that put some miles on it.

It is a sleeper bike, and tweaks to the bike are available to make it an even better fit for your needs!

Welcome to the S10 madness, may you enjoy it for a long time!

Welcome aboard.
I'm south of you in Merritt Island. Lets meet up for Biketoberfest!
I often ride out to JB's fish camp in New Smyrna beach for some good seafood, would be glad to show you the Merritt Island wildlife refuge too.

I'm up for some new areas to explore. I'm sure we can hook up someday.
