No problemo! Just a couple notes on this setup:Random ride said:TheHelios,
If you don't mind, I just might borrow your idea and do the same on mine. That will fit my needs nicely and still be plenty versatile at the same time. Very nicely done ::008::
1. When Bernie says there's very little clearance toward the center, he really means it. The volt meter is in the center because it was considerably shorter than the other two accessories which were ~1.5/1.75 inches long while the VM was about ~.5 inch. Even then, it still hits frame. You can get it to fit but it's a reallll tight fit.
2. This was a life saver: http://www.harborfreight.com/305-piece-solderless-terminal-kit-67684.html
3. As Bernie mentioned above, 90 degree terminal connectors exist which is something I wish I had. Even though the cigarette and USB acc. were put off to the sides, they still hit against the headlamps when I used a normal, straight terminal connector so a lot of finesse in bending them was required.
4. I had a couple wire taps but holy cow do those things suck. Went to Auto Zone to see if they had PosiTaps but unfortunately no. I was really reluctant to cut unto the PIAA harness but eventually had to. Cut the positive wire from there and on one end twisted my accessory cable with the other end of the PIAA wire and connected them with a butt connector. Works like a charm but PosiTaps would have been much nicer.
5. I used LOTS of electrical tape and heat shrink to give it a non-"What idiot wired this?" look. Looks pretty legitimate to me.
6. Zip ties were used to keep the wiring as far away from the forks as possible. I'm still having trouble fully hiding the wiring under the infil panel. Kind of hard to hide 5 ft. of wire under such a small space
7. I'm a firm believer of relays after this project.
