Dash condensation

I’m a new member & this is my first post on the Super Tenere forum.
Hoping to obtain some input/advice on what appears to be condensation under the clear dash panel on both the speedo & menu displays.
Bike is a 2014 S10 ZE with 14800 miles on the clock.
Not that this should make a difference but the bike was left outside on Sat night, there was a frost, with clear sky & no rain on any part of the trip. I rode to the south coast, stopped off in Lyme Regis, & spotted what appeared to be condensation over the LCD screens. The menu screen is affected worse than the speedo screen.
I’ve searched but cannot find anything relating to this, has anyone encountered this ‘problem’ before & if so was it possible to be resolved?
Any help/advice will be much appreciated!

I had the same issue with mine back in 2016, at the time there were a few comments about it and mine was sorted under warranty, some people had their clocks changed but they just removed the glass, cleaned it and refitted it on mine. It's been fine since.

This seems more than just condensation, so I guess you must have a leak/crack somewhere.

The only option will be to split down the dash panel, check out the seal & clean things up. I seem to recall a Gen 1 owner who had button problems, showed us how he sorted some PCB damage resulting from H2O ingress a while back, so it's an issue that needs prompt attention.

BTW, the way the water/condensation lays in stripes, is due to the anti-fog coating that has been applied to the inside of the screen, that will need renewing. If you go DIY, take great care - replacements don't come cheap.

Here is the dash meter diagram ................. https://www.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/5447634/xt1200ze-2014-2kb1-europe-bluish-white-cocktail-1/meter

Incidentally, welcome along to the group. Thankfully this, along with sun damage, is a rare problem, but annoying just the same.

Thanks, that’s good to know. Out on a ride today & the condensation has cleared. Will be interesting to see if it reappears or was just an odd set of weather conditions & being on the coast. I suspect the former….!

Thanks Squib, whatever it was has cleared. Wasn’t there when I went to the bike this morning & no reappearance on my ride so far today.
Really appreciate the information, it’s really helpful to understand. I’ll be keeping an eye out if/when it reappears to understand what conditions cause it.
Thanks

looking at the fowlers list it does come apart and the top part with the glass is £190
Thanks Bimota, that’s helpful.
Will check out what best to do if/when it reoccurs.

Thanks, wondered about it’s durability & undertook a web search regarding potential issues but nothing showed up. The forum is the first place I have seen to have raised potential issues.
l’ll update my info/bio
