I just wanted to post a quick review of Cyclops Optimus LED lights. I have been buying from Daryl at Cyclops for all my sled lights and helmet lights over the past few years. His LED and HID stuff is the bomb, his helmet lights can't be touched on the mountain. No chinese junk period. I decided to try these lights instead of the PIAA lights. These Cyclops lights are excellent ! They are all metal and bombproof ! When you hold this light in your hand you know its well made. I used the Piaa brackets to mount them but i did modify them greatly since i wanted the light tucked in a little more than if i left them alone. The kit comes plug and play with two connections at the battery, although i cut and wired it neatly for my setup. I opted for no dimmer and bought the handlebar switch instead of using the high beams to operate the lights.

They light up the road very very well. I was just in Nakusp coming back from the Halcyon Hot Springs late at night with my wife and my 12 year old son. It was pitch black and wet. Flicked on the the Cyclops and it lit up the entire road. No deer was surprising me LOL.

Nice looking with the headlight guards and lights.
Check that there is enough room to bottom the front suspension. As I recall off the top of my head the stroke is 7"

I'll have to check out those lights...

Yeah it never ends and then when you see light at the end of the tunnel, if you are like me, you want to upgrade..

When I got mine, I thought, skidplate and crashbars thats it.... 2 months later - Skidplate, crashbars, 50/50 tires, rox risers, long lines, PIAAs, Corbin seat, GPS Unit, Powered Cradle, and shock collar and eibach spring coming with the plan of replacing the stock shock with an Ohlins next season along with fork work....

Oh and I'm thinking of upgrading the panniers and the PIAAs... ugh!!!!

the lights look good, and they look like they belong under the head light... i have rigid lights under the head light , they are larger and square and hang down a bit more.... and you can bottom them into your fender, especially if you go through a rain dip on a county road( in texas county roads are not always paved, in this case it was . was running in a group at about 75mph when i went through dip. THUNK! stupid day, pulled out of group ride before some one got hurt, mainly me.... ) left two small marks on fender and had to readjust lights .it is a natural spot to put spots, i tightend up my suspension a bit and ride at a sane pace and no issues with bottoming out the suspension... more worried that i see the deer and the cage drivers see me than i might bottom into the lights, more lights the better....

Bought the lights earlier this week. Ordered the bracket from amazon, and will put the whole damn thing together next weekend. Thanks for the confirnation. Darryl suggested the modification of the bracket involved simple bending which is what I wanted to hear. Thanks everyone.
