I've not used the bike since last November and when I rode it yesterday the cruise control was not working.
The orange light came on when I pressed the button and the green 'SET' light came on when I switched on but the cruise simply would not set when moving and the green SET light would not come on.
Last night I did a search on this forum for some clues as to where to start and came across posts explaining that the cruise control was linked to the rear brake light so that when either brake is applied the cruise would turn off.
That got me thinking. At the end of last year I lowered the height of the rear brake pedal as I was developing the bad habit of resting my right boot on it. When I checked the rear brake light was coming on before the pads were beginning to bite. Adjusted the rear brake light switch to activate the brake light when the brake was beginning to bite and all is now good in the world! I now have my cruise back.
