My cruise control rocker switch started sticking on the set/decel side. You have to push the "resume/accel side of it to get it to release. Has anyone had this problem, or know of any fix?
It is a 2016 ES with 2700 miles, I assume the warranty is in effect for this?
Thanks guys!

Never heard of this but some plastic safe contact cleaner sprayed in and around the switch (protect other surfaces) should probably do the trick. I have a product from a company called CRC that also contains a light lubricant that works great.

Contact cleaner may indeed work and would be the first thing to try.

If not I haven't had this one apart, but have had disassembled numerous similar switch clusters. If you unscrew and disassemble it the switch is probably the typical copper leaf and a plastic piece to move it. The copper cleans nicely with a pencil eraser.

My 2015 had this exact problem when brand new. I took it to a Yamaha dealer, and he acted like it was no big deal. He unscrewed the enclosure and put some kind of lube on it and it has been fine ever since.

Probably some dielectric grease. After contact cleaning it's not a bad idea.

Update on this issue: Mechanic loosened the screws on the unit, then re-tightened them, using less torque and the problem went away. He said that Yama tightened them way to much from the factory...

Um... not likely. I just bought a new S10 and watched as the dealer uncrated and assembled the bike. The bike is shipped without handlebars, the dealer has to mount the handlebars and position the switches as part of the dealer prep. So if the screws were too tight, the dealer is to blame.
