Anyone got any tips for fitting the crankcase breather hose on the underside of the air filter box, pain in the ass to get back on in the end I put a hose clamp on and just loosely tightens it and it still kept slipping off!!

Depends if you took off the airfilter box, if you did I leave the hose connected to that and remove it from the crankcase end......

I had the same issue and the retaining clamp can be a real pain to get back in situ. I took the clip off altogether, pushed the hose back onto the spigot and it's stayed there just fine without it for the past 4,000 miles.

Yep, I figured that out last time. there's just enough space to get my fingers in and get it back on from up from by the tire.

I replaced the clamp with a jubilee clip. Easy to tighten with a screwdriver.

I think it's about 1/2" in diameter. I replaced the OEM clip with one I had lying around having tabs that were much more easily accessed from the side using pliers.
