Doesn't surprise me in the least about a Hog. Most people who buy them have zero Idea what they are on, nor what else is out there, they are also buying a lifestyle, over the actual bike.

I think most of us jump from metric brand to metric brand based on which model we like at the time, although I could never say no to any one brand as all the Metrics have treated me well.

I do question the authenticity as I do not know anyone who would never own a Metric brand again, other than our one resident grump :D

Have to agree with the thoughts on the HD.

My brother went from a Kawasaki tour to a Honda Goldwing to a HD whatever it is I'm not interested. I call it a car on wheels. Didn't like the sound so spent $1000 on pipes but has to have his phone playing music thru his helmet. Guess the sound was for other people. ???

My other friend spent $20,000 on a Ducati and hates his pipes too. Only $5000 for the pipes he wants and he will get them. ::002::

Me I just ride. It's an adventure bike and I like adventures.

So as much as I like my friends, I'm not into a 1 day ride to the beach or driving on the highway all day and come home. When they turn around I'll just keep going with my gear all packed up for the weekend or hopefully longer.
