Living in Australia and owning my S10 for 1 yr now, I know how excited you guys must be to finally have your bikes..
I love mine.. and every time I ride it I love it even more.. it is simply a brilliant bike..

HOWEVER.. I am really dissapointed in Yamaha due to some obviously very, very "tight" cost cutting they have done on your bikes..

Firstly is the decals on the front of the fairing.. I really can't believe your bikes didn't come with them.. luckily for you Wasp is making his decals as IMO the side profile of the bike is a little lacking without at least the front decal..
Secondly (and this is just my personal opinion).. I don't like the unpainted side panels.. FFS.. how much does it really cost to spray 2 panels silver ???? I'm sure you guys love your bikes and please don't take this the wrong way.. but man.. the black side panels look cheap ass..
Thirdly (is there such a word).. the seat... come on Yamaha.. at least give out 'Merican brothers the dignity of a beautiful two tone seat...

boogity boogity boogity amen >:D :)) O:)

The funny thing is everything you said you don't like is what I like about the bike. I didn't want silver panels, didn't want a two tone seat and I didn't want decals took all mine off that came with the bike. Everybody has different tastes and likes and dislikes but I think the US got the best version I love all the black on blue. Enjoy your ride. Also a side note I hope that pastor never prays at a race again that was a total disgrace to the Lord!

I was disapointed at first from looking at all the blue/silver bikes and really liking the colors. The blue/black is growing on me and I am just glad to have the bike to ride. I like the silver graphics better, because that is what I first saw.

sure thing guys.. I'm not trying to disrespect you or your bikes.. (it was kind of tongue in cheek)... just having a dig at Yamaha..

in reality who cares what colour they are.. I'd still love mine even if it were pink.. (maybe a little less though :)) )

I like my bike. I don't care if anyone feels he is color challenged. He will always be greeted with enthusiastic hands and a grateful ass. R

Funny.

I had ordered a low seat a few months ago thinking I'd be needing an extra inch closer to the ground. Last week I read Troll got his low seat in the two-tone black/grey color. At first I was worried the seat I ordered was going to be two tone. After a few days of seeing everyone else's bikes, I started looking forward to having a two toned low seat. Even the factory catalog showed the seat as black/grey. I had the seat sealed in the factory box the last few days since the stock low setting works for me on flat ground. I finally opened it last night wanting to see how the two toned seat was going to look on the bike.

It was all black. ???

I am all about options! Not sure why the Japanese car/bike manufacturers only offer "packages" when US counterparts ususally offer a lot more options.

The US bikes look slick. I did like how yamaha changed the side panels from silver to black. But i still enjoyed all the pics and videos of the first model year.

I am probably one of the few that just flat liked the black panels. Gives it more of a low-key off-road look to me but everyone's tastes vary. I WOULD like to see some factory or aftermarket carbon fiber panels like that hotted up white Italian job I keep seeing pictures of.

Good idea. I'm gonna do the same with the gas tank and tires. We should probably get a black paint group buy going, especially for all those "blue" bike owners. Once they realize their mistake ..... It's okay. This is not a critical group ... except for trailering. R

Hmm now you mention it mate... yes I am disappointed too. I wish I could have paid about another seven grand-ish and gotten one with silver side panels :D
