I have about 6K miles on my ST's Corbin now and it is fairly comfy for a 500-600 mile outing. I bet it gets better with additional miles in the summer heat. It seems to be settling in a bit quicker than the Corbin I got for my Vmax years ago. That one took nearly 10K miles to break in fully.

As I posted earlier, I ordered my seat on April 6. I got home from work today and there was a package setting on my deck. You guessed it; it was my Corbin seat. Wow! Twelve days from order time, build time, and ship time across the whole country (west coast to east coast). Funny thing, last night I typed a track my order email on their web site. I had not received any information as to shipping, so I was curious what stage my order was in. I came home today, and there was the package. Now to break it in before I leave for Wyoming. ::001::

Hmm, ordered mine March 28th and nothing yet. I have spoken with Corbin and it sounds like it should be shipped this week. Will be good to get it broken in, before our ride north in June.

I ordered mine March 26 and received it on April 4. I have the heated version, standard black leather. Just hit 600 miles with it and it is really breaking in nicely. It's a bit wider than stock and the jury is still out whether or not there is a forward tilt. This much I know... If there still is a tilt, it is much less than the stock seat. While its wider than stock, I have not noticed it getting the way at all off road. I have about 100 miles of 4wd forest service roads in with it and was standing for a good portion of that. The seat is narrow up front where your legs need to push into the tank. Love the seat!

Guys,

Can you still raise your corbin seat like the stock setup can be raised?

From all the photos I've seen it looks like Corbins are in the low position only. At 6' 6", I'd like to use the higher setting. I've been thinking of adding a Corbin to my bike, loved them on my GSA and Honda Valk previously.

Yes, the Corbin works fine in both the high and low position. I have the heated version.

I just got mine. 3.5 weeks wait. I like it! It's kinda like you feel like you are sitting on a tractor shaped seat. It eliminates the dirtbike seat feel. I ordered a new bracket from Yamaha, so I can readily go back to the stock seat without switching brackets. $6.42

Part number 23P-24718-00-00

Locking nut $2.73

Part number 95604-06200-00

The new seat comes with a bolt threaded into metal. There's not a mount on it for the Allen wrench.
