Howdy,
Well I believe I got my first real "adventure" ride in this past Sun. & Mon. Met Dean around 7:30 AM in Westminster, Ma. for breakfast, all loaded up with camping gear. After a hearty meal we were on dirt roads pretty quickly. We started out through Mt. Waschusett State Forest, then Rutland State Forest, over to the west side of the Quabbin Reservoir, over to the Tran Mass Trail. There was a lot of rain on Fri. in this area and we ran into a lot of mud. Made the appropriate decision to turn around and moved over to the Alternate Trans Mass Trail. Great ride from there to lower western corner of Ma. then shot over to Copake, NY.to camp. Beautiful night, great weather, fire, food, brew and of course friends. We were pretty tuckered out from 11 hrs. in the saddle Sun. so we made the decision to do mostly back road pavement with a little dirt at the end on Mon. The more I ride this bike the more I love it!
