OK, so I'm hopping around Europe for a couple weeks in Sept/Oct on business. I'll be in Munich, Paris, London and Berlin before I come home.

Now, I know there are things you can get in Europe from Yamaha that we just don't see here in the USA.

So... what's the best of the best in accessories and clothing that I should watch out for?

I'm not above buying a new jacket to bring back. ;)

Thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

We want pics of you and one of those German ladies whom carry 2 dozen Steins of Beir in each hand. Don't let them squeeze you, you may break in half.
No, seriously, if you are up to bringing anything back, how about a Yellow World Crosser Decal set? If that is too hard, I understand the logistics.

If you're going to be in Germany then you might want to make a point to visit these guys: http://www.off-the-road.de/

They are in Koln (we call it Cologne), Germany, which is unfortunately at the other end of Germany from Munich... About 350 miles to the northwest, in fact. But, they specialize in Yamaha "Adventure" bikes - both the 660 singles and the Super Tenere - so they have some pretty nice goodies. I imagine they'd at least be a fun shop to visit.

And of course the home base of the legendary Touratech is in Germany, in Niedereschach, which is only about 200 miles from Munich to the west. You can check out Touratech's German web site here: http://www.touratech.com/aktuelles.html (click on the little British flag if you want to view the site in English)

As for the "Motocross De Nations", it most certainly would be worth a visit, and the USA is fielding a pretty good team this year, and it may actually be the last year Roger De Coster goes as the "Coach" of the USA team. More info on the MX de Nations at the following links:

The San Marino round of the MotoGP World Championship is the weekend of Sept. 13th-15th, and that's only about 430 miles south of Munich. It would certainly be worth a visit if you could work that into your schedule. More info here: http://www.motogp.com/en/events/San%20Marino/2013

If you can give me a bit more detail of your travel dates, schedule, itinerary, etc. I might can suggest some other stops you might like... How about the KTM factory in Austria, for instance? :)

Hope this helps!

Gawd Damn, Dallara...I'm gonna owe you a beer soon...!

Sept 24/25/26 in Munich
Sept 27 - 30 - floating/open - gotta get to Paris at some point, though - quick train ride. :)
Oct 1 in Paris
Oct 2/3 in NYC
Oct 4/5/6/7 in London
Oct 9/10 in Berlin

Can't really extend earlier as I'm in SFO on Sept 12/13 and need to get home at some point to do laundry before my European Tour starts. ;)

I should note that this is a working trip, so those dates are almost entirely filled with me speaking at conferences, keynoting events or meeting with leading partners. Weekends are open and I can, with some flexibility, mess with travel dates.

So, lemme know what you're thinking - that XT-centric shop sounds promising. Surely I can find a way to get there... :)

I certainly hope this is a typo! Back to NYC, and only one day in Paris! That's a lot of seat time in a plane.
