Big difference between a 2013 and 2014 though. If you intend to do road touring you might want to stretch to get the electronic cruise control that became standard on 2014+ models.
What I'm trying to say it's not worth buying the bike in the US because of the exchange rate, tax, duty. It was 6 years ago but not right now.

There was a demo left over 2015 with full warranty that sold recently in Ont for less than $14000. Unfortunately it wasn't to me. Dealers are already starting to discount 2017's.

Are the bikes that much cheaper in Canada? For example, is the list price the same as the USD list price but in Loonies? If so I would imagine hordes of US bikers coming to buy up north.

USA list for the ES $16,199 = $21,916 Canadian Dollars. Canadian list for the ES $17,999. Try using Google.

Can Canadian bikes switch kph to mph?

They can get US but we cannot go north and bring one back.
