Amen. Killed while prostrate and praying, not in some war zone. Just like those in the Synagogue.
Everyday I wake up and think, how low will humanity sink today? Because I know, what is low today will be normal tomorrow, unless we as a humans push back.
I made sure I hugged my young daughters extra hard today as I sent them to school.

This isn't the 12th century, it's the 21st. Showing compassion for people that have needlessly suffered loss because of some narrow minded bigot is a good thing.

No one is saying the previous narrow minded bigots were somehow any better, regardless of what faith they claimed to believe in.

Rarely are the average people all that involved with the extremists that commit these acts. Regardless of what religion or nationality they belong to. No religion is immune from the false believe than theirs is somehow better than others. Fostering the "them and us" perspective is the false prophet of every hate filled person on the planet. We are all humans first. Maybe some day we'll figure that out. What you choose to believe in, whom you worship to, what color your skin is or where you happened to be standing on the planet at any given time does not change the simple fact that you are first and foremost a human being. Too bad so many don't act like human beings.

We are simply expressing our compassion and condolences to those who lost their loved ones in this tragedy.

Well said Eric!! We are all humans. Unfortunately there are some real freaks. I'm so very sad for anyone who loses life in these kind of tragedies no matter the religion, region or color of their skin.

While the Lounge is more open, and we give more leeway on posts here, the rules are still in effect, and personally attacking other members is strictly forbidden. In addition, it is up to the moderators to determine what is and is not appropriate content.

And don't tell me what is and what is not welcome. The Lounge is for all kind of discussions. Keep that to yourself. Usually people like you believe they are some sort of arbitrators of discussion, and choose what can and what cannot be said. What is appropriate and what is not.
If you don't stand for something you'll fall for everything, TV included.

I was almost 10 years out of the military when all that went down. I was lucky to have served in just the "cold war" of the 80's. I'm sorry you had to go through that. These incidents are horrible reminders of past history. I apologize to all here if I agitated the thread. I'm not very good at replying back to negative comments.

BTW Thank you for your service Dogdaze.

WRONG

Rules are that the moderators ARE the arbiters, so the pruning shears are out. If you want to espouse hate, go elsewhere. I was letting things go till you attacked another member and that always crosses the line. This is a motorcycle forum and there are already too many places for hate on the internet.

I have to sift through victims of all races, religions, and nationalities and I've cried with their families more than once. I can discuss the Bible, Torah, Koran, or Dharma. My sincerest sympathies go to ANYBODY who lost loved ones in ANY hate attack, be it Utrecht, Christchurch, Paris, Oklahoma City, Sandy Hook CT, Israel in both directions, pick an abortion clinic bombing, and the sickening list goes on.

Note - Apologies to Dogdaze, I deleted your content because it went back to what set this off, not really because of what you wrote. Thank you for your service and thoughtfulness for those you helped.
