I'm sure a lot of you have heard thru the news about Alberta's massive flooding in the Calgary and region the last few days. I'm hoping that everyone is safe and mother nature relents to the people affected.

Well my friend(on his KLR) and I are still heading west to Vancouver Island via the Jasper, Kamloops route, then Lillooet to Vancouver to the ferry terminal in either Twassen or Horse Shoe Bay. We are keeping this route flexible and may take the south route from Kamloops if there are issues. TransCanada route is still impassable due to washout. From there we will spend some time on the Island and then head to Port Hardy to catch the ferry to Prince Rupert via the Northern Passage. We depart at 730am and arrive at Prince Rupert at 1030pm. From there we head to Hyder Alaska, Prince George, Jasper then home in Central Alberta.
Super Tenere is packed with camping equipment/tools and ready to rock. Just did the oil change on her this morning. Gotta finish packing personal items/electronics.
Here is hoping for a fun and safe journey ::003::

safe journey.

Hwy 99 west from Lil to pemberton was it's usual bumpy great self. I recomend it fully. Where abouts are you on the island? are you going out to Tofino/Ukee? another great road if you got the time.
Safe travels.

Im on my way back from beartooth and yellowstone. Lots and lots of rain EVERYWHERE. Wanted to head back through BC/AB but I have a feeling the rain is not done yet. I think i may not be able to return home. I have to cross the south and north saskatchewan rivers and both are expected to rise 2 to 3 meters.
Enjoy your trip!!! Be safe. Lots of washed gravel off the shoulders on the road

Guys be real careful out there .... enjoy your trips but don't get caught out. Wet weather is fine but anything of biblical proportions is best avoided. Be safe.

We are spending 4 days on the Island so there will lots of riding throughout the area.
I hope the Sask river has peaked and will subside by the time you get thru Immigrant.
We will take it easy! One hour and we are on the road. ::008::
