I have a friend who races his street legal Mustang on track days. Every time he takes it to the track he "quickly" changes his brake fluid for something that can stand the higher temps, and he told me that they have different color so he just flushes until the different color comes out of the speed bleeder.
Sounds like a great way to ensure you did a complete flush.
Does anybody know of a brake fluid for the S10 that comes in different colors? Does anybody use this method?

I have never tried the colored but this was posted from ADVentureRider forum:

ATE Super Blue Racing brake fluid is identical in specification to the ATE TYP200 brake fluid, the only difference being the color of the fluid (amber vs. blue). Please note that the blue dye (in the Super Blue Racing fluid) will permanently stain the brake fluid reservoir after extended use. Thus, you may prefer to use the ATE TYP200, which is identical except for the color (i.e. without the blue dye). Also, Super Blue is technically not a DOT 4 fluid because it violates the color requirement in the DOT 4 specification. Some people like to alternate between the 2 fluids, and use Super Blue Racing brake fluid for one brake fluid change and then use ATE TYP200 brake fluid the next time, so that they can tell when all of the old fluid has been drained.

And again:

The Brake Fluids are available in various colours like Brake Fluid DOT 3 is available in clear, Pale Yellow, Blue & Crimson Red colour, similarly brake fluid DOT 4 is available in Clear, Pale Yellow & Crimson Red colour, brake fluid DOT 5.1 is available Clear, Pale Yellow & Blue colour. Brake Fluid DOT 5 is available in Purple & Violet colour so colour is not a criteria to distinguish between the different types of brake fluids. The color is added in brake fluid to detect the leakage easily and color does not effect the quality of brake fluid

I routinely buy different brands, which often are different colours. Definitely gives confidence when changing fluid that you have changed it, and reduces waste too because you don't use more than necessary, just in case.
