i may be down! looks like a good route.

bout the same as last time dirt wise?
This will be a mainly Pavement route.
Just the little bit of dirt back in the Hall Valley area, and the short section of Little Bear Creek rd out of Idaho Springs.
Far easier than last time............ (a Google Car went up Little Bear Creek rd, so it's just easy graded-dirt)
The weather is supposed to be Nice for Saturday..............Dress warm for the Passes!

I would love to do one of these rides. Maybe one of these days. Thanks for posting it up.
You're welcome to come join us anytime...............I'd say you are probably about an 8-hour slab-ride on the Interstate to get to my area.
Our weather-window is still open for the season, but it may start closing fast very soon?
If the weekends remain nice, I still may post some rides in the Mountains before the weather shuts us out.
Who knows..............maybe we'll have to ride east into Kansas territory?

So it looks like we've got:

Robbie W.
Myself
and possibly Sky4

We also might be joined by my neighbor Tim on his Vstrom? I invited him, and I got a response asking what time I was riding, but not a solid confirmation yet.

See you guys tomorrow morning!

nice meeting the guys i didn't know before! great ride all around.

that weather was off the hook. no clouds, no wind, just nice.

thinking about putting together a ride from fort collins to cowdrey CO. will likely take buckhorn canyon to stove praire road, then run about 70 miles up highway 14/poudre canyon to waldern. then out to cowdrey. Cowdrey has some nice gravel roads, nothing you couldn't take a honda civic down. we can head up through wyoming the back down 14. be ~275-300 mile round trip from foco.

about 80% paved. i usually like to give 'er a little once we're out of traffic, not looking to make this into a road race or anything though. buckhorn and stove prairie are usually very quiet, and utterly incredible roads. saturday nov. 4 looks like it should have decent weather, but we'll have to keep an eye on it, that's 2 weeks out, anything could happen!

attached a map screenshot and a pic of lake john (west and slightly south of cowdrey)

anyway- let me know if anybody is interested, we'll fill in the details.

Nice Ride with you guys Yesterday!
Weather was absolutely perfect! I can't believe it's this nice this far into October........
We had Robbie, Sky, my neighbor Tim, and Myself.
Ended up being a 183-mile ride for me.
Lunch was good in Georgetown. Roads were great. Traffic was a little busy, but it wasn't terrible. Great Day!

I'll keep this on my radar. I might be up for this ride.
Obviously if the weather is good I might be able to make this happen.

Weather is looking encouraging for this weekend. I'll try to pre-run up to Cameron pass Friday afternoon and see how much glare ice we're gonna be coming across.
