Last-Minute Ride this past Saturday with a couple Denver-area Riders (Paul and Robbie)
We rode Shrine-Pass to Red Cliff, had lunch in town, then rode up Ptarmigan-Pass.
300-Mile Day.

SATURDAY August 5th........Join-Up if you are interested!
I have a bunch of stuff to do this coming weekend, so I'm going to schedule this next one for SATURDAY, August 5th
The plan is to Ride from Sedalia, south on Rampart Range Rd to Garden of the Gods Park.
Eat lunch at Rudy's (mmmmmoist-Brisket)
Then ride back north via Cedar Mtn Rd and Trail-Creek Rd through Westcreek and Deckers.
If there is time, maybe ride Stony-Pass Rd and Wellington Lake Rd to Bailey, and back to Denver area via 285?
This route is "EASY", with mostly gravel-roads with a few small sections of ups and downs, and a few creek-crossings.
I've ridden all of it on my S10 (except for Stony Pass Rd)
First leg of the route via Rampart Range Rd.

This normally takes around 3-hours.
Second leg return to Deckers.

This will take around 2-hours or so.
I will note that there is usually a few "Water-Crossings" on Trail-Creek Rd, even in the middle of summer.
They are usually small-ish and not deep at all, but you will have to be comfortable riding through water where the creek crosses the road in a few places.

We've been in the 90's in Denver area.
Up at altitude, most of the backroads we were riding were in the 70's-80-ish.
On top of the pass, high 60's-70.

We had an awesome ride, with just a bit of rain thrown in as we were heading into Woodland Park.

I'm wanting to do a little Campground/Dispersed-Camping Recon in the Hall-Valley area for some plans that I have for next summer.
Meetup will be at the Morrison Exit off C-470 (Phillips-66) at 9:30AM
Kickstands-Up by 10:00AM
The route will mostly be Hwy-285 to Hall Vally Rd (county-rd 60)
A little bit of easy dirt back into where the Campgrounds and dispersed-camping spots are.
(I want to check out how much room is in there for my Camper, and a Truck/Trailer combo for next summer plans)
From there we'll ride back out to Hwy-285 and over Guanella Pass to have lunch in Georgetown at the Alpine Restaurant.
