A couple buddies and I are going on a weekend trip from South Dakota to Colorado and back. We were planning on going through Laramie, WY and on to Grand Lake, CO. From there to Estes through Rocky Mtn Park.... Well, with all the flooding, we're not sure where to go. The roads are open from the West into Estes but not through towards Loveland. We are planning on staying in Loveland or Ft. Collins. Anyone have any great ideas for routes around? I'm on an S10, one guy on a Triumph and another on a Harley so any off road, trail riding is out... unless I meat them on the other side. ::025::

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!

I would suggest you avoid Loveland and Ft Collins on this trip. I am in Snowmass Village (near Aspen). We've had lots of rain in the past week but no flooding or road damage that I know of. You could ride Aspen, Crested Butte, Telluride, Ouray, and Durango. Many great roads (paved) in Western Colorado. The leaves are just starting to change in the high country.

Thanks for the info. We decided to re-route and head to Jackson Hole, WY. It may be chilly but at least it's dry. Praying for all those affected in CO.
