Colorado Check-in!!!

I think I'm getting the 3rd one... they have their demo (blue), another blue due in February then my Raven in March...
I hope they get the packing figured out, their demo looks like it was packed with a ball peen hammer taped lightly
to the tank...

FYI for any other Colorado Tenere lurkers out there - I was talking to Ryan at Fort Collins Motorsports today, while getting the fuel pump gasket recall done, and he said that he just got in a blue demo tenere. So, along with the raven one on the floor (with several OEM add-ons) they now have both colors that can be taken out for demo rides.

FREMONT MOTOR SPORTS in Florence has a demo and 1 blue one for sale. but it may be gone as that was last week...... Gotta love that BIKE :exclaim:

Randy, what was the condition of your gasket? I still need to set up an appointment to have mine replaced.

They didn't say and I forgot to ask. It had not shown any signs of leaking, so I suspect it was fine.
I also had them get me a new swing arm plug as the one I have seemed a little loose (at least it hadn't fallen out).
I picked the new plug up on Tuesday, but haven't installed it yet, to see if it fits any better.

Last week I demoed a black 2012 ST at Colorado Power Sports in Boulder & after reading on this forum that a bunch of guys are still waiting, even after putting up deposits last October, I bought it! ::012:: Yeah, it's a bit early to start the season (as last week's snow proves) & it has all of 63 miles on it (mostly mine on two demo rides ... I want MORE!), but it's better to have it sitting in my garage waiting than in someone elses! ColoPwrSpts had a blue ST on the floor as of last Wednesday ... better grab it!

Good to have you here Murph! I guess your post will serve as an intro since I spotted your other post with the comments about the big BMW.

Can't help you out on what Apex has on the floor since I have not been in their shop for a while now. Good people to deal with, at least my experience when I lived down that way.

Quick followup - Sold the Strom to one of my best friends who's loving riding again first the first time in years. Box checked!
Picked up my Raven ST on 7/23 - Had 800 miles on it by 7/25. Box checked.
Installed my OEM panniers and grip warmers last week. Box checked.
Set the hooligan switch to 2S at the beginning of last week and discovered that I had an entirely new bike!
Weather currently has ride participation on hold but expecting to be back in the saddle by mid-week
so that I can check a few more boxes!

Merf - Colorado Springs - Raven (TBD 3/12)

I've had my name on the list at Apex for the Raven Tenere' that arrives in March, contingent on my satisfaction level on a test ride of the demo.
I took that demo ride last Thursday and it's concrete now, when the bike arrives in March, it'll belong to me! Still have my '03 DL1K and
won't likely put it up for sale until the Spring but I suspect it's not going to get many more miles on it..
