Rick at Cogent is now building a shock and upgrading my forks. I should have everything back in a couple of weeks. I'll update when I can give it a good test.

Awesome!! I worked with Rick on the suspension for my now deceased KLR 650, and he totally transformed the bike in the handling department.

I was going to give him a call next week. I just picked up Trevor's (Dcstrom) warranty replacement shock and we were discussing what to do with it. I had thought of Rick 'cause I have his shock on my KLR too.

Do you have any details on what he is doing?

Re: Cogent Dynamics suspension

He is building a version of the Moab for the rear and having a set of straight rate springs wound for the front. Still not sure if he's going to have to revalve the forks.

Got everything back From Cogent earlier this week, and installed this morning. Took it for a little ride about 60 miles mostly pavement what a difference. Tomorrow I will get into a little more rough stuff and really put it to the test. As with everything I have bought from Cogent fit was perfect and looks to good to get dirty.....almost

And, it goes without saying but it needs to be said, any suspension must still be properly set up once installed to be worth anything otherwise it's all for nothing. Preload/Sag, etc. must be set before tuning to rider preference.

Yes, you are absolutely correct they do need to be set. I thought installed covered that part. Sorry set preload and sag.
