Cockpit Infill Panel - Help

Well more of a request actually. :)

I see a number of people have made infill panels for the cockpit. Does anyone have a template they could e-mail to me?
I have a friend who has access to a laser cutter and I might be able to persuade him to make me a decent one without the hacked up edges it would get if I did it.

Thanks.

Littledave has the said item on it's way to him in the post (somewhere) and I was going to take a template off it anyway. I'll PM you when it turns up.

I made one that I had on my 2012 Super T. Mine differed from the one I saw on the forum recently in that I installed a Powerlet outlet on the left side so that it and the cigarette outlet on the right are what held the panel on.
I found that since I get all power needed through my RKA InCharge tank bag. http://www.rka-luggage.com/A02%20Tankbags/com%20bag%20Build%20sheet/Master%20Accessoires%20Build%20Sheet.html I didn't use either outlet u there. So on my 2014ES I didn't install an infill panel.
However perhaps you want it for looks not function and that is cool. Note however on my first try I had used a straight piece and found that it chaffed the throttle cables a bit so I had to cut a curve in to which helped a lot.
I think my template went with the 2012 in the bikes records.

Maxey's Yamaha here in Oklahoma City actually sells them. They have a fabricator who makes them and they have a hard time keeping them in stock.

I made a panel for my ST. I just used a piece of 1/8" aluminum and cut holes for the switches I needed. I added a 12v power socket that was powered all the time running on a 10 amp fuse as the stock socket uses a smaller fuse and has difficulty powering a 12v air pump for tires. On the left side is a switch for my Skene LED light dimmer. I have a lot of heated gear and hard-wired stuff so I added a volt meter. The install was easy using just three stainless screws. You can get aluminum flat bar like this at any hardware store.

Here is a dashboard I made from a template from the forum. I used 1/8" kydex and could have used something thinner...the edges were a mess, difficult to cut, but you can't see the rough edges as they are hidden.

That looks good, maybe a slightly wider curved bit.

I was planning on using kydex. I know someone who uses it and has access to a laser cutter. Should hopefully make a tidy job of it.

Dp you have a copy of that plan?
