Could someone tell me what coating or treatment is applied to the stock headers? I love the look. Also, what would be a safe polish/cleaner to use on them to keep them looking sharp?

Thanks!

I think it is just highly polished stainless. No completely sure, but that's what it looks like to me. If that is the case, the regular pipe polish/blue remover should be all that's ever necessary. I'd keep it too a minimum, whatever you use, it will eventually cause microscopic scratches, and that will just attract crud. Whatever it is, mud doesn't stick to it right now.

If you haven't done it yet, I'd suggested a Fenda Extenda. That will do more to keep your header pipes shiny than anything else. Prevention, not cure!

For sure, and any bluing you see is like a badge of honor.

Flitz is the best stainless steel polish I have used. Use it on stainless Staintune exhaust cans on my ST1300.
Good 'ol Flitz. I used to use it to polish the brass ends of my folding Buck knife when they'd tarnish. Great stuff for any metal.
