Make plans to attend & come enjoy the ride!!!

Cruzn'AL
Hey, Cruzn’Al…many thanks for organizing this ride. It was perhaps one of the finest local area rides I’ve been on. Seriously! You picked some great roads, many I’d never been on, and even threw in a couple real nice sweepers! Unfortunately, I missed the post ride get together, but I’m sure that was just as awesome. Definitely do a re-do of this re-do next year…or sooner if you want. You da'man! :)

Just a quick report for everyone else…Cruzn’Al hosted a ride from Sefner on the west coast of Florida over to Daytona Beach on the east coast…Coast2Coast…that benefited the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with proceeds from the bikers. Normally, Sefner to Daytona Beach is one road (Interstate 4) and about two and a half hours. However, Al mapped out and put us on 80 different back roads (plus 6 or seven I added missing a turn here and there) that took us north up along Withlacoochee State Forest and the east along the bottom of the Ocala National Forest. I think we did it in about six and a half hours in the saddle.

The weather couldn’t have been better. Brisk in the morning (it was 50 degrees when I left) but once that Florida sun comes out it warms everything else. It was sunny and I’d say we had mid-70s from 10AM on.

I’m not sure how many made the ride, but there were a lot of bikes! 149 signed up. You’d think that might cause some congestion along the route, but it didn’t at all. Everything really went smoothly for our group, which included a couple blue Super Tenere’s. This is member Ulysses (Chet from Boynton Beach, Florida) on the left and me. Awesome day!

Sorry guys. Sick as a dog, and had to miss it. Next time !

I have gone on many of these and they are lots of fun. Couple more coming up in the near future. I'll post up.

Sorry we missed you Clem. It was a great ride. Thanks for bringing it to our attention. Get better soon.

We’ll be revisiting a couple of these roads on the FGT out in February.

Good to be able to meet up with you Bill! Thanks for navigating. I had a great time and really enjoyed the ride. Saw parts of Florida I didn't know existed.

Sorry you couldn't make Clem. Hope you are feeling better. Chicken soup and orange juice!!

Five? I've been here since 87 and only count three. :)

Unless I'm riding to work (Temple Terrace to North Dale Mabry), I'm heading away from Tampa. I'm usually up between Brooksville and Ocala on the east side. A little better but not much.
I guess that's my only consolation while I sit and read about you year-round riders. Plenty of curvy roads where I'm at. The Challenge in Japan is to find a straight road.
