I think you will be surprised at the roads AL picks out. They are usually less traveled roads, and a great time to meet people from all over the state and beyond. he usually releases to maps for roads the week of. If the weather cooperates it's a fun time.

I'm all signed in and set up here. I actually live in Temple Terrace, so the starting point in Sefner is only 7 miles from me. Lookin' forward to this.

My schedule is a bit too unpredictable to tell yet, but I'll keep an eye on this ride and will try to make it if possible.

Dang! Halfway into August and this event is already up to 61 motorcycles! An interesting mix of bikes seem to have developed also.

Oh, and I thought that Ride Master service was pretty interesting. Might have a use for that in the future.

now I know you've never done it before after hearing you say that. It's not a speed record, it's a "find every curvy road you can find " kind of ride. Maybe 150 turns or so. Al goes out his way to find roads that need to be explored.

I lived in Tampa for five years thought id found every curvy road there was, all five of em!

Five? I've been here since 87 and only count three.

Unless I'm riding to work (Temple Terrace to North Dale Mabry), I'm heading away from Tampa. I'm usually up between Brooksville and Ocala on the east side. A little better but not much.

I always counted interstate ramps as curves. I just think your way too selective in categorizing curves. How about turns then, huh?

Yup, you’ve got to take advantage of what the unimaginative Florida DOT gives us.

In late February, we’ll have our third Florida get together in the Avon Park-Sebring Area. Another place we’ve found for some decent riding. I’ll post up details when we get that tied down.
