Clutch and Shaft dampener

Ok help a newbie out here.....flame my ignorance :-[.....please explain clutch and shaft dampener on new model and its significance

I could possibly understand how a shaft dampener might help. Some cars have a rubber ring on the drive shafts to absorb vibrations, but as Sharealike mentioned in another thread. you would think the clutch dampener would have to sit in oil since we have wet clutches? and thats probably not ideal for rubber of any kind. Can't wait to see a schematic on this "new" system.

As I understand it, this should address a problem some have complained about, specifically, clutch basket induced vibration. This string should help explain it:

I'm looking forward to looking at some schematics on this new clutch basket... I think we should also keep an eye on the part number to see if it gets revised.. Or cross reference the two as soon as we can see some part numbers from the 2014.

I took some screen shots of the clutch assembly for our current model including the part numbers from rockymountainatv :)
