Ok, I decided after last week's perpetually-postponed Cactus Flats ride, which turned into a Cleghorn Trail run, to develop a longer more filled-out ride. Someone make a sacrafice to the weather gods! :)

I am still working out trail details that are friendly to big bikes, but want to get some interest going. This ride may entail a night of camping. Not sure yet, but it sounds like fun.

So, a high-level overview would be: start at Cleghorn, work our way past Silverwood Lake, then possibly to Lake Gregory, then to Lake Arrowhead and across to Big Bear and Cactus Flats which will end in Yucca Valley. Should be able to get fuel along the way, if needed. How does this sound? It can be our own little SoCal Adventure Ride. SCAR? Hah!

Who's in?

That sounds awesome. I'd be in to join as long as the trails aren't too crazy / noob friendly. I still might need some better tires though. Im coming to find that the stock battlewings kinda suck in the dirt.

Shouldn't be a problem...most of the trails in this area have fairly easy trails with more difficult off-shoots here and there. You can bypass them. Yes, Battlewings would be limiting and a little scary. You could do it, but a more off-road biased tire would be WAY better.
