Looking for additional lighting and both the Clearwater and Denali lights seem to be received very well. What are your thoughts, plus' and minus', on either or both? For the riders who own these lights what are your experiences?

Clearwater Glenda

Clearwater Krista

Twisted Throttle Denali 2

Extra lighting is still on my to-do farkle list, but like you - not sure which way to go. Several good choices out there. I even wonder how the new Givi Trekker lights will work out.

No experience with the Clearwater but I do have the Denali lights and I'm not overly impressed, they help a little but they aren't like my Hella FF50's that really light up the road and beyond.

Bummer. Do you have the Denali 2 lights or Denali 1 lights?

Ive seen all the Denali / Baja / Clear Water / Etc.... We have installed them, played with them, tried them out..... This is kinda one of those situations that you kinda get what you pay for.. I have been down the road with the less expensive lights. And when it comes to being out in the back country on the touring bike or the Super Tenere, I WANT TO SEE.. I broke down a few years ago and bought the Baja Designs Fuego HID for the FJR and they are nothing short of flame throwers. They throw light out probably a mile, no joke.. They have saved my life twice traveling the country and having them turned on out in the back country. They lit the road so bright and so far out it gave me ample time to come to a stop with deer out in the road... I have recently installed the Baja Designs new Squadron on a customers bike. I'm waiting for Baja to come out with there new switch for the Squadron LED lights. This will allow the light to have infinite adjustment with light out put, similar to the Clear Water. This Squadron is what im saving for and will be installing on my Super Tenere. They are VERY bright , small and light weight. If anyone would like to know my experience with any of these brands Ill be happy to give you my unbiased opinion on the lights.. Just let me know, Ive messed with just about everything on the market.

I like the Double Stryk by Baha Design, take a look:
http://www.bajadesigns.com/ProductDetail/630006_Double-Stryk-Vehicle-Kit

R U looking for a fog or a driving light?
Fog pattern will light up the side of the road and provide better illumination during cornering. The driving pattern will reach out longer but with a narrower light beam.

How much riding do you do in the dark?? For me it's very little so I find it hard to part with my $$$ for aux lights but do install Extreme White bulbs on all my bikes.

OK include the Baja and any other lighting system that can be used on the Super Tenere. Discussion open and please include the cost factor.

Baja Squadron http://www.bajadesigns.com/ProductDetail/660050_Baja-Designs-Squadron-Led-Off-Road-Light-Spot

Denali 2 http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/6158/

Clearwater Gleanda / Krista http://clearwaterlights.com/products2_pp.html

Other ???

There are more than 50 + lights ( Halogen, HID, LED, light out put, size, price, Etc ) that could work on the Super Tenere. Here is just a little info that I found and know off each web site..

1) Denali - $359.99 pair / 900 Lumens / Non adjustable light out put / Limited life time warranty

2) Baja Squadron - $329.99 each / 3600 Lumens each / (in the next week or so) Adjustable light out put / Life time warranty

3) Clear Water Krista - $649.99 pair / 3500 Lumens each / Adjustable light out put / One year warranty

*We do offer and sale all three of these brands. Along with many others, Halogen, HID, LED.

IMOP - (just considering these three lights) If someone is looking for extra day / night safety the Denali's work great and at the least expensive, offer 'extra' light that can be positioned to the side for extra side safety. If you are out on the open road and you have your high beams on along with these lights, your stock high beams will out power these lights and the 'extra' light becomes washed out. Unless you specifically have them tilted to the side... Size and install is great..

The Baja is a great light very bright and life time warranty. These are the brightest of the group. The Baja LED light comes with two versions. Driving and spot. The driving is actually two driving LED's and two spot in each light. This gives some one a very good light spray from side to side and this will exceed your high beam. So far in the light industry this is the brightest and smallest package available. Size is in the middle of these three, light output is great, install is easy and nice like the others.

The Clear Water is very similar to the Baja. The light out put is almost exactly the same. They are a fantastic product. It is the largest of this group. Light out put is great, install is good as the others...

All of these lights are nice. The Baja and Clear Water give you a TON of light if that is what your looking for. But none of these LED lights has the technology yet to throw as far as a HID. If your looking for the ultimate brightness and over all distance you can beat a high quality (NOT an Ebay special for $29.99) HID driving light... The draw back to the HID is size and weight, and sometimes a ballast.

Depending on what someone is trying to accomplish with driving lights there is a set of lights for you. If someone never rides at night, you probably don't need 3600 Lumens. If you do ride at night, or even ride off road at night (like myself) I do prefer 3600 ++ Lumens.
People can also keep in mind that you can get some pretty good lights for less money with a nice Halogen set up. HID has been around for 15 or so years and there are some really nice light packages, but for the most part are still quite expensive. And the newest driving light technology is the LED, that offers very good light in a small compact light package but on the whole, seems to be the most expensive. (again, not taking in account the Ebay junk)

This is just little info on these three brands of LED lights. There is MUCH more info available. If budget is a deciding factor get what will suit you the very best. Other wise I would suggest talking with someone that has seen all these lights in real life and pick there brain, or find someone that has these lights and play with them in the dark. They are all better than nothing. ::008::

Well, I guess they came out with the Denali 2 and mine is the 1. I suspect you can look around and get the Denali 2 cheaper some where else than Twisted Throttle, that is what I found out later when I bought mine; the wiring kit is what throws the price up even more. The Baja sound good with the nice reviews, but I don't drive that much at speeds after dark.

That Squadron light looks interesting....especially the version with two driving & two spot beams. I wonder how far beyond the stock high beams it will project light?

So many good options - like being in a Thai bathhouse and having to make a choice. Or so I have been told. ;)
