There are more than 50 + lights ( Halogen, HID, LED, light out put, size, price, Etc ) that could work on the Super Tenere. Here is just a little info that I found and know off each web site..
1) Denali - $359.99 pair / 900 Lumens / Non adjustable light out put / Limited life time warranty
2) Baja Squadron - $329.99 each / 3600 Lumens each / (in the next week or so) Adjustable light out put / Life time warranty
3) Clear Water Krista - $649.99 pair / 3500 Lumens each / Adjustable light out put / One year warranty
*We do offer and sale all three of these brands. Along with many others, Halogen, HID, LED.
IMOP - (just considering these three lights) If someone is looking for extra day / night safety the Denali's work great and at the least expensive, offer 'extra' light that can be positioned to the side for extra side safety. If you are out on the open road and you have your high beams on along with these lights, your stock high beams will out power these lights and the 'extra' light becomes washed out. Unless you specifically have them tilted to the side... Size and install is great..
The Baja is a great light very bright and life time warranty. These are the brightest of the group. The Baja LED light comes with two versions. Driving and spot. The driving is actually two driving LED's and two spot in each light. This gives some one a very good light spray from side to side and this will exceed your high beam. So far in the light industry this is the brightest and smallest package available. Size is in the middle of these three, light output is great, install is easy and nice like the others.
The Clear Water is very similar to the Baja. The light out put is almost exactly the same. They are a fantastic product. It is the largest of this group. Light out put is great, install is good as the others...
All of these lights are nice. The Baja and Clear Water give you a TON of light if that is what your looking for. But none of these LED lights has the technology yet to throw as far as a HID. If your looking for the ultimate brightness and over all distance you can beat a high quality (NOT an Ebay special for $29.99) HID driving light... The draw back to the HID is size and weight, and sometimes a ballast.
Depending on what someone is trying to accomplish with driving lights there is a set of lights for you. If someone never rides at night, you probably don't need 3600 Lumens. If you do ride at night, or even ride off road at night (like myself) I do prefer 3600 ++ Lumens.
People can also keep in mind that you can get some pretty good lights for less money with a nice Halogen set up. HID has been around for 15 or so years and there are some really nice light packages, but for the most part are still quite expensive. And the newest driving light technology is the LED, that offers very good light in a small compact light package but on the whole, seems to be the most expensive. (again, not taking in account the Ebay junk)
This is just little info on these three brands of LED lights. There is MUCH more info available. If budget is a deciding factor get what will suit you the very best. Other wise I would suggest talking with someone that has seen all these lights in real life and pick there brain, or find someone that has these lights and play with them in the dark. They are all better than nothing. ::008::
