I am here in Maine (Lewiston) for a month or so, then back to Florida. I love the roads here much better, as the topo lends itself to some fantastic riding. I am using a loaner bike (pavement) this week. Now if any of you want to ride some place in Maine or NH this week of the 20th give me a shout.

Clem, if you've never done it you should take a run up Mt. Washington in NH. One of my favorite roads in the country. It costs a few bucks to ride it, but it's a trip unlike any other.

I agree, I have done it several times. The last time I tried it was closed due to weather. I may do it again this tour though. I did some really nice roads today in coastal Maine, near Union. It was a treat compared to Fl roads.

I rode that area last month on the way to MDI/Bar Harbor/Acadia to visit our mutual Strom friend, Blacklab. Nice area. I'm sure all of it's better than the legendary straight roads of FL.
