Got tired of watching my stock signals flap in the breeze and wanted to pull the baffle out of my Two Brothers slip on without having to worry about losing a blinker, so I spent about $20 a pair on some cheapo conventional blinkers. Big difference in my opinion. (Sorry, picture quality is terrible)

No, I had to cut the stock wires at the stock blinker and splice them into the factory harness to retain the factory connectors. No big deal really but can be time consuming when you're trying to do a good job. The overall install took about an hour and a half, you have to disassemble the rear pretty far and I found it easiest to pull the headlight out.

I'm interested in hearing how they stand up long term. I was about to buy the same blinkers, but next to them on the shelf were a pair of BikeMaster blinkers that looked exactly the same but for twice the price. The label on the more expensive pair said "The only LED lights turn signals sealed to prevent internal moisture" (or something like that). I assume the claim as the "only" light includes their own cheaper models, so I figured I'd pass. For the same price as the expensive pair, you can order the OEM LED blinkers.
If yours work out, I'd be interested in saving a few dollars. CB

Well I can say they're solid as a rock over the rough stuff, and the dust doesn't contaminate them. I don't know when it'll rain.

Do those flash amber or white? I was looking on MC Superstore and all the LED signals look white.

The original poster did say, quite clearly, in his initial post the following:

"so I spent about $20 a pair on some cheapo conventional blinkers."

So I think it's safe to ascertain they are *NOT* LED blinkers, and so should flash at the same rate as the stockers.

Just FYI...

My bad... from the size I figured they were LED you can get LEDs for that price...I suppose one coud argue the definition of "conventional".

Hey, I could be entirely wrong... They could be LED's. Just seems like if they were the OP would have mentioned any resistors when he talked about how he re-wired the accessory signals, plus he would have said something about the flash rate if it were fast.

I just wanted to point out the OP did say "conventional" and not LED.

No biggie. ::025::
