this fell out from somewhere while i was breaking the bead with my kickstand. this is my 3rd rear tire change.. i always do this myself for the last 30 years on all my bikes... it was clean,,no grease on it. maybe i am loosing it??

You talking about the axle spacer bushing or the wrench that fell out LOL.?
Its an axle spacer bushing for the rear wheel, goes on right hand side.

Isn’t that the spacer/bushing that goes in the back of the pumpkin, which is exposed once the wheel is off?

I think I have at least two posts on here saying basically "I found this on the floor after working on my bike, can someone tell me what it is?", usually followed by me smacking myself in the forehead and making the Homer Simpson "D'Oh" sound.....
