Hello all :) My S10 is fitted with a set of Michelin Anakee 3 with 2,399 miles on them. The Anakee 3 were definitely not my first choice (replaced while on a tour) and I'm not familiar with their lifespan (I normally run Bridgestone). I've got a tour coming up and round trip it'll be approx. 2,700 miles; San Antonio TX to southwest New Mexico and southeast Arizona; mainly paved. If there's anyone with sizeable experience with the Anakee 3, I'd greatly appreciate thoughts on whether or not I should swap them out. I'll be riding solo but camping gear duffel and all essentials in the OEM side cases will total approx. 35-40 lbs. Fwiw, I'm 5'11", about 206 lbs. My riding style is spirited, and ES settings are maxed out for firmness. Many thanks in advance!

I found the Anakee III rear lasted really well, something like 12,000+ miles. The front on the other has was toast at 6-7,000. The only set I tires I ever used where the front wore out first.

Just from total overall experience with tires I would say that tire should easily last you another 3,000 miles. It looks to be mostly a road tire or a long lasting dual sport type tread pattern.

No experience with that exact tire but Michelin new range of tires have great life. I think they call it qc2+ or something like that. I got 10k miles out of a road 6 with a lot of high speed 2 up touring on a 130 hp bike. Plan to put Michelin on when I'm ready for new tires.

I'm the worst at this game, have had tires wear out quicker than I anticipated twice. Fortunately I had family/friends in upcoming areas and had them pick up tires for me. Maybe I just like changing tires in new cities? :D

Thanks everyone for the input so far! Normally this is a no brainer for me and I swap the rubber but 2,399 mi. is really low. I'm feeling inclined to run them for this 2,700+ mi. trip. Especially since I overpaid for them (dealership install during a trip). Lol! I don't love the Anakee 3 by any means but I'd like to get my money's worth. They're sort of vague and noisy. Damn are they noisy! This will be a proper send off for them I think ;) My only other experience with Michelins are track day slicks on a GSX-R 600 and a previous set of Pilot Roads on my Versys 650 (I got 7,847 out of those Pilots). Thanks again friends! :)

Anakee 3's rears are a good tire, they stick well in dry and wet and last (never run the front). I did 14,000 km across Canada and back, fully loaded last year. No issues.

For long road-biased trips, it's still my go to. Your tire should be fine :)
